QA Engineer – System and Network:

Stormshield, the leading French publisher and a reference European player in cybersecurity, is a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space Cyber Programmes and offers innovative, certified and European‑level qualified security products for protecting networks and data. To continue our growth, we are looking for a Senior Systems & Network Engineer.
Within a dynamic and creative team, you will help strengthen our Quality Assurance group on our flagship solutions. You will independently deploy and build various IT system and network environments (switches, routers, firewalls, servers and applications) in order to test Stormshield firewalls in many configurations.
You will analyse how our products behave with the network traffic you generate and will provide analysis and recommendations to our development teams.
If you are motivated, you will enjoy assembling network labs while also developing automated tests.
What are the responsibilities of the QA Engineer - System and Network?
Define approaches and test plans for new firewall features;
Design and maintain tests (automated or manual) to ensure reproducibility;
Assist development teams by deploying labs with varied equipment to replicate customers’ production environments;
Test and measure performance of software developments and our products in general (capacity limits, load testing…);
Enrich and keep our testing infrastructures in operational condition;
Diagnose failures of our security solutions for remediation (reproduction, system & network lab‑building, analysis…);
Propose improvements to enhance product functionality and quality;
Support Stormshield teams (technical support, pre‑sales, developers…) in reproducing and analysing reported issues.

Performance measurement tools: Spirent Test Center, Spirent Avalanche, Spirent Cyberflood, Cisco TRex Realistic Traffic Generator
Networks: TCP/IP networking, network security, VPN, firewall
Ecosystem: Linux, FreeBSD
Scripting: Perl, Shell
Virtualised environments: VMware, KVM
Which team?
You will join the SNS team led by Vincent. This team counts about twenty people: developers, testers, tech‑leaders, Scrum Master, Product Owner. You will become part of a Scrum Team of 5‑7 people (Scrum/Kanban). Collaboration is at the core of our way of working; teams are self‑managed and decide on their delivery commitments.
Which product?
You will work on Stormshield firewalls that make up our Stormshield Network Security (SNS) portfolio. By securing the network, an enterprise firewall protects the company from most cyber‑attacks. For more information about our products, you can visit the dedicated page on Stormshield firewalls.
